"Bassin for Breast Cancer II"

When - October 22nd, from 9am-11am
Where - Harbor Island near parking lot across from the Hilton Hotel

For this event I ask that you email me at tclures@hotmail.com to sign up. For the subject please type BBC2. Please let me know your name, and if you are bringing anyone else to participate, their names as well. There is no limit as to how many people can participate, the more the better :)
I ask that you sign up so that I can get an idea of how many people to expect, that way I have a better idea of how many baits/jigheads to make. If you sign up you are guaranteed a bait/jighead package and a spot in the event, otherwise if you do not there is a possibility I will not have enough bait combos for those who just show up. The deadline for signing up is Tuesday, October 18th. So please, send me an email and let me know that you would like to participate.

Your $5 donation will get you 3 pink passion swimgrubs and 2 pink jigheads(1/4oz, 3/8oz). All donations for this contest are to support the Komen for the Cure Foundation. Any extra donations are greatly appreciated for this cause.

RULES:

The pink bait/jighead combo must be used during this event. Any contestant who uses any other type of bait will be exempt from any prizes.
I cannot be in more than one place at a time so I cannot keep track of everything that is caught, therefore pictures must be taken of every single fish caught during the event, and the bait must be visible in the photo. All fish that are caught are to be released immediately after a photo is taken. I will designate fishing boundaries the day of the event. The contest will start at 9am, and end at 11am, any fish caught after 11am will not qualify for any prizes.

ANGLERS 16 YEARS OR OLDER ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CALIFORNIA FISHING LICENSE WITH SALTWATER ENHANCEMENT STAMP ON IT.

PRIZES:

Last year there was no winner, as me and my wife were the only ones who caught fish lol. So this year the grand prize will be drawn out of a hat regardless if you catch any fish or not. Only contestants who give at least a $5 donation qualify for the grand prize, and must be present at the time of drawing the winning name.
Grand prize: The grand prize winner will have their choice of either two dozen custom pattern 3" swimgrubs, one dozen custom pattern 5" calikillers, or a custom pattern combination of swimgrubs and calikillers.

Additional prizes will be given out for the following:
Biggest bass of the contest(1 dozen swimgrubs and a 3-pack of jigheads of any current pattern on my color chart), any legal halibut(2 dozen swimgrubs and a 6-pack of any current pattern on my color chart), and any baracuda, bonito, or shortfin corvina regardless of size(half dozen swimgrubs of any current pattern on my color chart)

Please keep in mind I will not have all prizes immediately available since I am unable to stock up on anything. Winners will be able to pick up their prizes the following Saturday at the same parking lot on Harbor Island.

For those who might be interested in making a pre-paid order(cash only), you may do so after the event is over and you will receive a $1 discount per pack of baits. I will probably be there until 12pm.

I do realize there are several of you who are not in the San Diego area who want to participate but cant, I do apologize for that. If anyone is still interested in sending in a $5 donation(plus $1.50 for shipping) just to get a pink bait/head package I will do that. I would still need you to send me an email letting me know you would still like a bait package anyways and I will make you one.

If you have any questions at all please email me at tclures@hotmail.com

Pie chart update

Not too much of a change since the last update, however the ghost shrimp and manchovy patterns have made the biggest changes. The aquamarine and black widow are neck and neck with only having about 20 catches difference between them both. Thanks for all of your feedback and reports, I appreciate it!

Some announcements.....

NEWS:
First of all I am still trying to get the rest of the jighead colors finished and added to the list. I will be working on that this weekend as long as time permits it.

Secondly, I will be having the Bassin for Breast Cancer II charity event sometime in October, and the new "pink passion" pattern swimgrubs will be used for the event. Your $5 donation gets you a 3-pack of baits and 2 pink jigheads, and all proceeds received from entries for this event will go to the Komen Foundation. More details coming soon so please check back!

SEPTEMBER CONTEST:
Simple..... The first 3 people to send me pictures of their largemouth bass caught with any T&C bait will win a free lure/jighead package. The size of the bass does not matter, but there are two requirements.... Bait visible in photo as always, and photo time stamped either by camera function or it can be hand written in the photo. Details on September's contest prizes are classified! ;)

BAIT SALE:
From September 5th-11th all baits will be $1 off per package. Bulk jighead packages will also be $1 off.

Bonito: Are on their way into the bay ;) They will be biting soon, if not already.

August winner!

This young lady(Miss Williams) is our winner for the month of August. She caught this calico bass while using the 3" sun glo pattern out in the kelp beds. The calico was estimated around 4lbs. Congratulations!

August was the last month for the halibut photo contest, there were no entries so there is no winner. So now there is just one contest, any species can be entered.
