4th of July contest!

I will be making a special pattern swimgrub called "firework" for a contest on the 4th of July. This contest is for spotted bay bass, calico bass, and sand bass only. You must have both firework bait and a tape measurement clearly visible in the photo, no exceptions. The winner will have a choice of one of the following prizes:

1. (2) dozen packs of swimgrubs, one pattern per dozen
2. (4) half dozen packs of swimgrubs, one pattern per half dozen
3. (1) 8-pack of either calikillers or slim slugs, one pattern(combination allowed)
4. (2) 4-packs of calikillers or slim slugs, one pattern each pack(combination allowed)
5. half dozen swimgrubs of one pattern, 6-pack of calikillers or slim slugs of one pattern

Firework baits will be available in person only on Sunday July 3rd at Harbor Island in the parking lot across from the Hilton Hotel between 10am-11am. $1 gets you 3 baits(maximum 6 baits per person). If you are outside the San Diego area and would like to participate, you can paypal the funds to me and I will ship the firework baits to you. Shipping will be $1 plus whatever you spend on the baits. I will not ship these baits after Tuesday, June 28th.

Simple rules-
Fish have to be caught while using the firework pattern swimgrub only.
Contest starts on July 4th at 12am and will end at 11:59pm.
Photos must be emailed to me at tclures@hotmail.com no later than 5am on July 5th.
In a rare event of a tie, the decision will be made by a unanimous public vote on our facebook page.

Questions about this contest can be emailed to me at the email address mentioned above.

Another jighead update:

1/4oz shad heads and 3/8oz barrel heads are available. For now I will not be making anymore weedless versions as they do take up quite a bit of my time, something I dont have much of lately. The only weedless heads I have are the blemished ones you see pictured below in the previous post. I am not too sure on the exact count of what there is but if you are interested in them, let me know. As far as the regular heads go, $3 per 3-pack of 1/4oz shad heads, and $3.50 per 3-pack of 3/8oz barrel heads. Also, for those who want to purchase some in bulk, you can get (20) 1/4 oz shad heads for $17, or (20) 3/8oz barrel heads for $18, one color only for bulk prices.

I am still working on getting some nice clear pictures of the available colors. But off the top of my head, there is black, red, powder blue, green, green pumpkin, orange, chrome, grey, yellow, dragonfly(turquoise with green flake), red bug(candy apple red with green flake), watermelon pepper(green with black flake), pink, and purple.

I only have a few packs of blemished heads left, mainly in red. $3 per 4-pack of 1/4oz shad heads and $3 per 3-pack of 3/8oz barrel heads.

Please contact me at tclures@hotmail.com with any questions you might have.

Another halibut challenge....

The halibut are still hanging around our bays in pretty good numbers, and if anyone is lucky enough to catch one 30 inches or longer while using any of our baits, I will reward you with a free custom bait order of either 24 swimgrubs or 12 calikillers or slim slugs. Tape measurement and a visible bait shot is required to receive this reward. This challenge will be over at the end of July. This is for anyone who catches one that meets all requirements, not just one winner.

Again the requirements....Halibut 30" or longer/tape measurement/bait clearly visible. Email photos to me at tclures@hotmail.com or post them on our blog. Best of luck to all of you :)

Some pics

So here is a terrible photo of different colors that will be available, I will have better photos up soon.
Also, the red and black heads pictured to the right are the ones that are discounted due to minor blemishes, almost undetectable.

Jighead update

Ok so I have been tinkering with making these things myself, and I am happy to say that they are coming out pretty decent. They are not perfect, but they are a lot better looking than some other heads that I have seen. Right now I have red 1/4oz shad heads, and red 3/8oz barrel heads for sale at a slightly discounted price. They are discounted due to slight imperfections, and I was about to take some pictures of them for you guys to see but my battery is dead and I seem to have hid the charger from myself(I lost the charger....) So not only can I not show you guys the heads, but I cannot take photos of the new bait patterns either so please bare with me a little bit.
Anyways, right now I am selling a 4-pack of red 1/4oz shad heads for $3, and a 3-pack of red 3/8oz barrel heads for $3. These are not normal prices, only for "chosen heads". Normal prices will be $3 per 3-pk shad heads, and $3.50 per 3-pk of barrel heads. The supply of these chosen heads are limited, first come first serve and I am sure there will be more as I screw them up while making them haha. I will say that these "chosen heads" are very fishable, some of you might not even see whats imperfect about them, or even care. I currently have 8 packs of shad heads, and 6 packs of barrel heads. I will let them all go at once for $35 if anyone is interested in them.
One more thing, these are regular heads without weedguards. I am not sure when or if I will start on those. I am more focused on just getting the regular heads done right now, and they will be available in numerous colors, which we will have a color chart for also coming soon. I have a bunch of black ones but they are not finished. Once they are done I will sort them out and discount the "chosen heads" again. I will have them done over the weekend.
I hope I can find my charger so I can take a bunch of pictures to share with everyone, I am trying to avoid buying a new camera.
As always if you guys have any questions at all, drop me an email at tclures@hotmail.com and I will try to respond as soon as I get a chance.
